High Burghermaster (male) or High Burghermistress (female) of Perusia (Italian: Gran Maestro del Borgo di Perusia; Neoclassical Latin: MAGISTER ALTVS (m.) or MAGISTRA ALTA (f.) BVRGĪ PERVSIÆ; Græcian: 𐌅𐌀𐌉𐌔𐌖𐌓𐌀𐌐 𐌇𐌀𐌌 𐌉𐌔𐌀𐌗𐌄𐌂) is the title of the ruler of the borough of Perusia, a 2nd-level administrative division of Græcia, located in Perugia, Umbria, Italy.
Etymology
The terms "high burghermaster" and "-mistress" were coined by Quintus De Vitaliis, inspired by the Medieval title "magister" (Latin: magister, Hellenic: μάγιστρος), preceded by the honorific adjective "high", found in terms such as "high priest", "high council", et al., in order to demonstrate the prestige of the rank among the burghers – the residents of the borough.
