The Hjalsk Armed Forces are the military services responsible for the defence of Hjalvik. The military comes under three divisions; Army, Navy and Air Force. The Hjalsk Armed Forces are managed by the Ministry of Defence.

History

The Hjalsk Armed Forces were established on 29 August 2020. The first base operated by the military was naval base, Port Hamarsey. The first army establishment was the Tanþheim Military Base, which became operational on 31 August 2020 and was finally abandoned on 27 February 2024 after the Hjalsk reforms. The flag of the Hjalsk Armed Forces was officially adopted on 17 February 2021.

Hjalsk Army

The Hjalsk Army, known in Hjalsk as the Hjalsk Herliþ, trains several soldiers, usually those who are Hjalsk citizens, aged 15 and upwards. The army’s main ground force base is Tanþheim Herliþstaþr, in the district of Norþfold. Its current fleet consists of one tank; the Hund Ground Tank.

Hjalsk Navy

The Hjalsk Navy, or the Hjalsk Farmaþinar in Hjalsk, is the most powerful of the three forces in Hjalvik. It has a fleet of 6 vessels and has an enrolment of 8 men. The Hjalsk Navy is open to any Hjalsk citizens aged 16 and upwards

Hjalsk Air Force

The Hjalsk Air Force, known as the Hjalsk Lofterliþ in Hjalsk, is the least known of the three Hjalsk forces. It has a fleet of three drones, and has a crew of 3 pilots. The enrolment age in the Hjalsk Air Force is 16 and upwards.

Hjalsk Electrical and Mechanical Engineers

The Hjalsk Electrical and Mechanical Engineers is the engineering branch of the Hjalsk Armed Forces. Employed by the Hjalsk government, the HEME employs 7 engineers and designers, working at three main yards across the territories. The enrolment age in the HEME is age 14 and upwards.
