Imvrassian Duchy

An Imvrassian Duchy was a territorial and administrative unit of Imvrassia similar to a Province and included one or more territorial units. There were at least one residence, the capital of the administrative unit and others administrative subdivisions.
Each Duchy was generally governed by a Duke who was apponted by the Exarch or his deputy.
A Duchy was divided into Themes and its Duke could appoint to each Theme an Archon. The Duchy usually had a house and land, while the Themes could be either a house or a territory without population.
