The International Catholic League is an intermicronational organization exclusively for Catholic micronations founded on 20 August 2022 by Hunt Powell. It was formed by Powell after his dissatisfaction towards organizations like the Union of Christian Sovereign Micronations and the defunct Christian Theocratic Union, this dissatisfaction based upon theological disagreements with Protestants found in both organizations.
Goals of the International Catholic League include the promotion of Catholicism in the micronational community, donations to charitable organizations, and a stable entity for Catholic nations to coalesce around. Thomas Jacobs serves as the Commissioner of the League which is the highest bureaucratic post in the League.
Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a full membership in the International Catholic League applying nations must meet a series of requirements laid out by the organization. Applicant nations must have Catholicism as their sole state religion, must agree and abide by the Catechism of the Catholic Church, must agree with the legitimacy of the Pontifex Maximus, and must participate and contribute in the League. Nations are also judged by the age of the nation, the adhered ideologies of the nation, and discretion by the League itself.
