Micronational career

In June 2018, when Iponk went with his family to East Java, Indonesia, in order to "oppose the supremacy of single ethnicity" and promote "multiculturalism", he established The Grand Republic Government there. The Grand Republic Government at the time was a territoryless government in exile. On August 7, 2018, Iponk Chang, returned to Taiwan and decided to establish a "fixed regime" in Taiwan, announcing the establishment of a country called the Republic of Terwas ("Terwas" originates from the fast sound and ligature of the words of Taiwan and Indonesia), at that time, the Republic of Terwas belonged to a one-person country.

In 2021, he led Republic of Terwas to start an era of rapid development, and then let Terwas get rid of the state of one-man country. In the middle of that year, the constitution he drafted came into effect.

At the end of July 2022, Republic of Terwas is expected to hold a second presidential election, and Iponk Chang has announced his bid for re-election.

Political Views

He firmly supports TSP and disgusts the long-term harm to Taiwan by the KMT and the CCP. He once said that he doesn't hate the DPP, but Taiwan needs a second party that is more determined to Anti-China.
