The Izkar Confederacy proclaimed independence from the Cheslovian Federation on December 29, 2008, following a disagreement with the Cheslovian Federal administration on December 2 for greater autonomy for specific districts. Cheslovia and Malokaz have yet to recognise Izkaria's independence. On the 3rd of January 2009, Baugnia announced its alliance with Cheslovia.

For the interest of improving cultural assets, the inhabitants of Izkaria have had their Kaznian names taken away and replaced with Izkar names.

Reasons for independence

See also, The Izkar War of Independence

Parts of Tamir and Vladislavia Krai were proposed by the Izkar administration for autonomy in Cheslovia, but the Cheslov government rejected the plans. Since then, the Izkar administration has made it their mission to establish a new nation and break Cheslovia into little states.

Government

The government is made up of two people who cannot be removed from power by a vote of the people. The Chairman wields the most authority and is the Confederate Council's (executive) leader, while the Vice Chairman is the Confederate Assembly's leader (legilative).

Military

The Izkar military is now made up of the Chairman and Vice Chairman; however, the Izkar have a number of people who agree with the Izkar declaration of war and may be summoned to arms. The "Izkar Force" is the only name given to the army.

Status

Because no governmental body in Baltia recognises the Izkar Confederacy, the Cheslovian administration refers to it as the "Izkar Independence Movement." It was defeated by the Cheslovian army at the battle of Zoltan on January 31, 2009. Despite the fact that their claimed area has been retaken as Cheslovian claimed (but not recognised by the UK), the Izkarians have declared that "Izkar Holdouts" would be established to prevent their resistance movement from being completely crushed.
