Jan Kotoński (also known as Jás Kotoński), is a Ireland-born Polish student who has served in multiple Galway Sector nations, such as Roscamistan, Ballinfoyleburg, and East Galway. He currently serves as Roscami Chief of the Defence Staff.

Micronationalism

East Galway

He began his micronationalist career when he met Thomas Jacobs, a friend of Burke’s he met outside of school, and Ludwig Collins, a Irish lad, at his new school. Kotoński, Collins and eventually Jacobs had one major thing in common, the communist ideology. He, and the two others along with a few others in September 2021 formed the East Galway Soviet, comprised of the People’s Executive, the forum called the People’s Assembly, and the Supreme People’s Court. He was chosen at the first meeting of the Soviet to be the first Premier (known then as Chairman). Thomas Jacobs became Vice-Premier (known then as Vice-Chairman), and Ludwig Collins as General Secretary.

On 7 January 2022, Thomas Jacobs, Vice-Premier (known as Vice-Chairman then) of the East Galway Soviet decided to create a full experiment in Communism, by proclaiming the East Galway Commune, a stateless communist society with elements of direct democracy. Kotoński became the Chairman of the East Galway Commune, short for Chairman of the People’s Executive of the East Galway Commune. On 10 January 2022, Thomas Jacobs proposed that Kotonski’s title of Chairman be changed to Premier, he agreed and became known as the Premier of the People’s Executive of the East Galway Commune. He won a confidence vote on 1 February 2022, giving him a clear mandate to continue his administration.

On 8 April 2022, the First Kotonski Executive was dissolved, and replaced by the Provisional Government of East Galway, in order to transition to a new system. On 26 April the provisional government dissolved, and a parliamentary republic was formally set up. Former general secretary of the commune Ludwig Collins became President, whilst Kotoński stayed as Premier, in the second ministry of Kotoński.

On 16 May 2022, a general election to the House of Representatives returned Kotoński as Premier, forming his third ministry, and the first coalition government.

Roscamistan

He became a member of the Cabinet of Roscamistan when he was appointed by President Thomas Jacobs as the second Propaganda Minister on 30 December 2021, after Doros Patusky, temporary dictator of Roscamistan under the Senatus Paramount Ultimatum sacked his predecessor Ludwig Collins over the declaration of independence of Ballinfoyleburg 12 days prior.

He became the first Minister of Transportation on 16 January 2022, when Thomas Jacobs created the Ministry of Transportation, giving Kotoński a secondary position within the Cabinet.

On 26 March 2022, with unofficial support from Thomas Jacobs, Kotoński overthrew Acting President Culann Burke, who himself came to power by virtue of being First Secretary of State and since Doros Patusky missed his inauguration. Kotoński later was installed as Provisional President, and a de facto military administration was set up.

On 8 April 2022, Doros Patusky returned from his inactivity and became President of Roscamistan, replacing Kotoński.

Upon appointment of the 1st Senate, Kotoński was made Majority Leader on 21 April 2022, and remains in office to the present.

Kotoński was appointed President of the Oranmore Autonomous Region on 11 June 2022, after devolution was granted to the Greater-Roscamite region, and also was made Lieutenant Governor of Greater Roscam.

In January 2023, Kotoński lost his seat in the senate, which he had held since 19 April 2022. By default he also vacated the Majority Caucus Leadership of the Senate.

Ballinfoyleburg

Kotoński became a citizen of Ballinfoyleburg in January 2022, staying a low profile figure. He was later appointed Vice President of Ballinfoyleburg on 19 February 2022. Kotoński was removed from the vice presidency when the Provisional Ruling Council took power on 30 May 2022.

Retirement from micronationalism

Kotoński would announce to his friend Thomas Jacobs that he would be leaving micronationalism, claiming he was tired of it.

Style of address

Political beliefs

Kotoński is considered in the Galway Sector as a syncretic politician. He is a socialist and a traditionalist, as well being a Polish nationalist.
