On July 23rd, 2018, elections for the VI Altannese Senate were held. These were the first elections for the office in which the PAUN and FAA partook, getting a combined majority of the Upper House.
These elections mark, with the elections for Princeps held that same month an inflection point for the hegemony of the FAP, already jeopardized by the sudden creation of new parties in late June 2018, even if they did not have a majority in the V senate, with the big influx of independent voters. The VI Senate of Altannia is the biggest Senate to this date, with an additional seat having been added due to the growth of Congress.
Statistics
These elections saw a fall in partisan vote, with just over half of valid votes going to party lists. The voter base, overall, was very divided in comparison to other elections, and many candidates got a single first-option vote.
