The Juniperian National Union (Juniperian: Unioné Rász-Ayunipearos) is a political party within the Commonwealth of Juniperia and currently holds a majority in its Parliament. The party was founded by Ishan Jha in 2023 following the nations transition to a monarchy. The party currently holds a legislative majority and a majority of Vicars-General.

History

The Juniperian National Union was originally created as the Juniperian People's Democratic Union (JPDU) in 2022, which was a left-wing manifestation of the Monroist ideology. The Party was the sole and ruling party of Juniperia.

Vision Juniperia

Main article: Vision Juniperia

For the first and third prime ministers of Juniperia, the main and ruling party was Vision Juniperia. Which was a mainly left wing party. Many Juniperians were left wing themselves, thus the party followed a similar fashion.

Political crisis (2023)

Main article: Cheesy Spring Crisis

The Cheesy Spring Crisis was a period of political instability, Edmond Yamolo created the Pizza Party in Juniperia which rapidly grew in popularity. The party even attracted Artin Kordavi who briefly became a member. Kordavi and Yamolo then brokered a deal which would have the National Union adopt the Birthday Party as its co-official slogan.

Structure

The party is governed by the Secretary-General, who is the head of the party and its chief representative. Directly under him is the Deputy General Secretary, who is the assistant to the Secretary General.

Presidium

The presidium is the executive committee which releases statements, approves laws for the party and gets during party congresses and conventions.

Elections

There is currently no election process in the party, the Secretary General usually leads the party until resignation.

The Juniperian National Union has performed well during its history, and since its creation has sustained its majority in Parliament. It has briefly faced crisis in Spring of 2023 when its membership shrunk by nearly a quarter, but was able to recover by negotiation.
