Kenneth Maisano is a senior hardline Erusian Communist politician and former legislator who served a single term as the 2nd People's President of the Democratic People's Republic of Erusia from July 6th 2009 to January 6th 2010, presiding over the nation for almost the entire period of its existence as a pure and literal Single-party state. A leading figure in the Erusian National Communist Party, he has the distinction of being the longest-serving member of the Erusian cabinet, having held the post of National People's Executive Commissioner for Revolutionary Security since his nomination by then-President Robert Lethler on January 13th 2009. He is currently ranked third in the political hierarchy of the Communist Party, serving as Chief Political Officer and Chairman of the Central Discipline Commission, a posting that makes him one of the most powerful people in the Democratic People's Republic. He is a member of the 5th Central Committee of the ENCP, and one of four Central Committee members to serve on the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau.

An extremely controversial figure both domestically and internationally, Maisano is widely known as being one of the - if not the - most hardline figure in the Communist Party. A public and extreme opponent to all efforts towards democratic reform in the DPRE, Maisano's Presidency - much like that of his political mentor and predecessor's Robert Lethler - was reportedly marked by widespread political repression and the systematic persecution of organised political opposition to Communist rule. Throughout his term in office, Maisano was criticised as being a puppet for Lethler, who served as General Secretary of the Communist Party during the time that Maisano was President. Opponents to the hardline government that existed from 2009 to 2010 assert that Maisano was the official with the ultimate responsibility for most of the DPRE's alleged "Human rights abuses".

Despite serving as President of the Democratic People's Republic for half a year, Maisano had little to no contact with the outside micronational world and preferred to leave foreign affairs to Party leader Robert Lethler. As such, he remains - like many Erusians - something of an enigmatic political figure. He was somewhat controversially de-selected as the Party's candidate for the Presidency in December 2009, for reasons that remain unclear to this date, returning to normal cabinet life under his successor and former Premier Kai Roosevelt. In February 2010, he once again came to international attention when he joined the race to become the new leader of the Communist Party. Though he was the leading candidate on the first ballot at the 5th Party Congress that month, he was ultimately unable to hold his own in the subsequent votes, loosing out to Kai Roosevelt on the third ballot.
