Kira Deegan was a cat owned by Isaiah Deegan and his family from 2009 until her death from what is now believed to have been Feline Leukemia on October 28, 2022. It is estimated that she was born on July 30, 2009. She is known mostly for her role as the Mayor of City Bee and Morrison, both of which were towns established in the United States, though they were not recognized as such. City Bee was established as separate from the City of Meadville purely because its founder, Isaiah Deegan, wanted to do so. Kira became Mayor and served for nearly 6 and a half years, before she was deposed in a coup d'etat on April 15, 2020. The coup was led by Isaiah Deegan, Kira's Secretary. This was because Isaiah had lost faith in the United States government and sought to create his society because he felt he could do better. Kira was imprisoned for one day before being released on April 16, and she then led a quiet life. Despite her association with the United States, she was viewed fondly. She never had any real power as Mayor, and Isaiah generally ran in her place, though it is debated even how much authority Isaiah had. Nevertheless, her popularity grew as the years went on. She contracted Feline Leukemia in July 2022, and her health slowly began to decline after that. As September 2022 and October 2022 rolled on, she began to become more and more sick and eventually became unable to stand or move on her own. She died quietly on October 28, 2022, with her family and friends around her and was buried near the border between Duighan and the United States. Her death has been declared a national holiday and a day of mourning to remember the cat that once ruled over Duighan as Mayor.
