List of deputy heads of state of Vishwamitra
The article lists the deputy heads of state of Vishwamitra since the foundation of the nation in 2007 as Children's Group.
History
The office of the Vice President was established on 15 April 2007 following the foundation of the nation alongside the other offices. At the time of the creation, the vice president served as the constitutional deputy to the President and served as the acting President in the case of vacancy of the presidential office. The vice president was elected by the parliament and later on by the executive council. Tanishkaa Patranabish was the first vice president who served from 15 April 2007 until 31 December 2009 when she was elected as the President.
The office of the vice president has once been filled temporarily by Bishnu Chetry between 27 November 2016 and 27 January 2017. He was appointed vice president by the president upon government and parliamentary approval after then vice president Arnab Sil announced his resignation. Chetry was subsequently elected for a fresh term on 27 January 2017 and went on to become the acting president on 11 April 2017 following the resignation of president Sarala Baishya and remained in office until the election of Varuna Sriraya as president the next day.
Following the constitutional coup of 2018, the office of the Vice President was abolished and replaced by that of the Deputy Supreme Leader. Anoushkaa Patranabish served as the first and only deputy supreme leader and also became acting head of state after the Supreme Court announced the regime illegitimate. The position of vice president was thereupon re-established and Anoushkaa Patranabish was appointed to the position.
The position of vice president was renamed to that of Deputy President in May 2020 when Tanishkaa Patranabish became the executive president. Anoushkaa Patranabish served as the first and only deputy president.
Following the establishment of the monarchy in June 2020, the position of Uparashtradhyaksh was created and Varuna Sriraya was elected as the first Uparashtradhyaksh and also served as the regent for then Rashtradhyaksh Tanishkaa Patranabish. However, following the sudden abdication of Rashtradhyaksh Tanishkaa Patranabish, then Uparashtradhyaksh Varuna Sriraya was elected by the Conference of Rulers as her successor and thereupon took over the throne on 1 August 2020. Following his installation as the second rashtradhyaksh, he appointed his predecessor Tanishkaa Patranabish as his co-monarch thereby establishing a diarchy, however she would lose her position as co-head of state on 1 January 2021 following her appointed as Uparashtradhyaksh. The current Uparashtradhyaksh is the Rajpramukh of Uttaranchal Bishnu Chetry who was elected by the conference on 13 July 2022 and assumed his duties on 20 July 2022.
