Lukaş Çursık[a] (/ˈsjuːrɪk/, Fyrinian: [ˈtʃursɯk]; born September 8, 2003), also known as simply Lukas, is a Fyrinian politician and cover singer, serving as President of Fyrinia since November 2019. He previously served as Prime Minister of Fyrinia from December 2017 to January 2019 and once again from May 2019 to August 2019. He has been de facto supreme leader of the micronation since its foundation within its simulationist geofictional period. In August 2019, he formed the Transitional State Administration to transform Fyrinia into a realistic micronation and was inducted into the office of President of the Transitional State Administration. In 2019 general election, he was elected President of Fyrinia, becoming first democratically elected head of the state. Ideologically a social democrat, he leans towards social liberal and economic interventionist policies and also praises green politics and European integrity.
Born and raised in Benešov, Çursık founded his first micronation in May 2016 mainly within the municipality of Benešov, made up of up to 16 communes with a total area of over 8 ares. The micronation broke up in January 2017. Çursık founded Fyrinia in December 2017, becoming its de iure Prime Minister and de facto supreme leader. He developed Fyrinia into a simulationist entity during 2018 and 2019. In July 2019, after the extinction of remaining simulationist entities in the Czech MicroWiki, he started planning Fyrinia's transition into a realistic micronation despite the continuation of the development of simulationist Fyrinia. The transition plans culminated in August 2019, when Fyrinia's main page in English MicroWiki was proposed for deletion. Çursık formed the Transitional State Administration, a provisional governing body for Fyrinia, in order of transforming Fyrinia into a realistic micronation.
He expressed support to the Czech Pirate Party in the 2017 Czech legislative election but in later 2017, he drifted towards the Czech Social Democratic Party due to its ideological closeness to himself. He criticized the Czech Social Democratic Party's decision to join a coalition government alongside the ANO 2011 and called for the party's radical reconstruction and shifting towards more social liberal policies. In 2019 European Parliament election, he expressed support to the Czech Pirate Party again but said he would vote for the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats, if it was possible.
Personal life
Çursık has been a student of the Karlín Business Academy, Prague, since 2019. He is interested in languages, politics, geography and music. He is also a fan of pop and Latin pop, particularly singers such as Madonna, Anitta or Cher. As an openly gay person, he is a pro-LGBT activist.
Besides his native Czech, he is fluent in English, and has a basic knowledge of Brazilian Portuguese and German.
