Lyle Sorrell was inducted to micronationalism by becoming a Peer of Westarctica in November 2020 as the Baronet of Harpmore. He quickly instituted a new fundraising effort with eBay for Charity, whereby a small portion of proceeds from each online auction would be donated to Westarctica. This program proved to be wildly successful and as a result, Lyle was knighted for his efforts as a Knight Commander in the Order of the Snowflake in early 2021.

On 2 November 2021, as part of the 20th Anniversary Honors and Appointments, now-Sir Lyle was granted the title Viscount of Adams, so-named for the Adams Rocks in Westarctica's Phillips Mountains. He was also made a Companion in the Noble Order of Westarctica.

In December of 2022, Viscount Lyle approached the Viceroy of Raphania, Prince Charles about creating a Church of England-style religious institution within the Colony of Raphania. After days of discussion, on 11 December 2022, the Church of Raphania was founded with Lyle Sorrell becoming its first Archbishop. For his work in establishing the church, the Viceroy granted him both Raphanian Colonial Subjectship and the life-peerage title of "Count of Rossailles", so-named for the Raphanian capital of Rossailles.
