Martin Wareham

Martin, Crown Prince of Bertia, otherwise known as Martin Wareham is a Bertian former royal, religious leader and politician for the Bertian Freedom Party. He split from the Children of the Dank (led by Orin Harley) in March 2021, forming the Children of the Meme.

His forming of the Children of the Meme resulted in the Dank Wars, where he was supported by Max I and many Bertia officials, such as Harrison Bert and George Heywood, while other elders of the Children of the Dank, such as Oscar Thow and Joseph Young, were against it. The war resulted in a stalemate.

He was a leader for Bertian Independence in the Bertian Civil War and led anti-Arthurian forces in the Antenna War. After the Antenna War, Max I of Hilltop granted Bertia semi-independence as a member state of the United Republic of Englica with Martin’s friend Oscar Thow as King. Oscar adopted a system of appointed line of succession and Martin was made Crown Prince of Bertia, the first person to officially hold the position since George Heywood in 2019. He lost the position to Heywood again after Harrison's victory in the 2022 Bertia constitutional referendum

On 16 July 2021, Orin Harley and Martin Wareham announced that the Children of the Meme and Children of the Dank would merge into one again and that it had been planned since the Dank Wars but due to a misinterpretation by Max I, never went ahead.

He was appointed Vice-Governor of the Feathers and Gills Governate on 9 October 2021 by Max Stenner and Joseph Young.
