Matthew Jones is the first and current Deputy Prime Minister of the United Cleddau Islands. He assumed office on 5 September 2011 after being selected by King Christian for the position. This was due to his diplomatic and personal skills. He has plans to improve the United Cleddau Islands International representation.
As there are currently no political parties in the United Cleddau Islands, he is currently classed independent.
He attended the same school as King Christian, where they were no close. It was not until Further Education college, where they became friends.
