MicroWorkshop 2021 was a virtual micronational event, that took place on 27 February 2021. It was hosted by the Commonwealth of Dracul. The event consisted of delegates from multiple micronations and seven speakers.

Alongside various Draculian officials, delegates from Flandrensis, Metropolitan Electorate of Fidelis, West Who and Westarctica were slated to act as speakers for the event. Topics of discussion included establishing micronation agencies, cryptocurrencies, micronational war, citizenship, ecological micronationalism, creating culture and traditions, heraldry and vexillology, data handling, media, and explaining micronations.

Topics of Discussion

How to gain more citizens, be a professional micronation, establishing departments, and securing personal data were just a few of the topics covered by the speakers of the event. During the planning phase it was seen by the organizers that these very topics were lacking within the community. Each speaker received 10–20 minutes to cover their topic, which mainly consisted of screen-shared PowerPoints and speeches. Questions and answers were allowed at the end to preserve time.

Disruptive Incident

Throughout the event, the MicroWorkshop staff had difficulties reaching Thomas Bainbridge, who was currently away on a family emergency. When the time came for Bainbridge to speak, an unknown individual came into the Zoom conference under the name 'Thomas Bainbridge' and announced they were ready to present. When the organizers gave access for the user to speak, the event was met with curse words and insults against the United States Coast Guard. The event organizers immediately removed the user and continued on with the event. Bainbridge was later found, who conducted an investigation, accusing an Essexian official of the incident; however, this was denied by Essexia.
