The Military Intelligence and Security Agency is a military intelligence agency of the Republic of Atlantis government responsible for providing national security intelligence. The MISA's primary function is to collect information about foreign governments, corporations, and individuals, and to advise public policymakers. The agency conducts covert operations and paramilitary actions, and exerts foreign political influence through its Special Activities Division. The agency responds to the President of the Republic by the Executive Office of the Director of the MISA.


Tasks

The MISA has the task of researching and developing all the necessary information to defend the independence, integrity and security threats from outside Atlantis, including implementation of international agreements. MISA also performs activities in the field of counter-proliferation of nuclear materials or found to be strategic materials, and information activities for security outside the national territory, to protect the Atlantis political, military, economic, scientific and industrial as well as identifying and countering outside the national territory espionage activities directed against the Republic of Atlantis and activities aimed at damaging the national interests.


History

The MISA was decisive in the Atlantis Civil War. Indeed thanks to the Agency, the Atlantis government was made aware of all the movemenst of the head of the rebels, Sante Carbone that was been monitoring. Also, thanks to the agency, the rebels been without links between them for a week.


Organization

The MISA responds to the President of the Republic by the Director of the MISA, the Vice President and the Senate. There is many departments:

  • MID1 - Espionage (military and scientific), forcing the secret codes and passwords, research and information gathering.
  • MID2 - Special Operations Division, reconnaissance, undercover operations, free prisoners of war.
  • MID5 - Counterintelligence, psychological warfare and disinformation, censure, interrogation of prisoners of war, interception of communications.
  • MID21 - National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency


National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency is a department of the MISA. This department have as the primary mission of collection, analysis, and distribution of geospatial intelligence in support of national security.
