The Mimasian Safekeeping Medal is a state award of the Archduchy of Mimas, established on June 20, 2020.[1] The medal is the highest military decoration in Mimas and is nationally only eclipsed by the Royal Orders and H. R. H. The Archduke's Medal.

The Mimasian Safekeeping Medal is awarded for exceptionally outstanding achievement or bravery in the defense of the Archduchy of Mimas and its values. It may also be awarded for exceptionally outstanding performance and bravery in the face of danger. It cannot be awarded for regular outstanding bravery or achievement. Awards may be made to persons not being members of the Mimasian Defense Forces only under exceptional circumstances with the joint approval of the Archduke and a senior officer of the military branch in question.

The medal consists of an oval gold plated bronze medal, with a diameter of 40 mm. The obverse shows the inscription "the compass and the shield protectors of the archduchy", divided in four fields by the arms of a compass. The ribbon is folded in a triangular fashion, 45 mm wide, white, with two 3 mm teal green stripes at the edges.

In both the uniform and civilian clothes, the decoration is worn on the left side of the chest. Additionally, the band clip may be worn while in uniform, and the miniature medal or ribbon bar may be worn while in civilian clothes.

Once awarded, the decoration becomes the property of the awardee, and may only be worn by them. After their death, the decoration may only be used for remembrance purposes or is asked to be returned to Archduchy of Mimas.
