The Ministry of Communications and Media and formerly, the Ministry of Communications and Techology between 2019 and 2020 and the Ministry of E-communications and Interconnectedness in 2022, was a ministry of the Government of Vishwamitra responsible for the administration and development of communications and technology, and later communications and media in the nation. The ministry came into existence for the first time on 17 August 2019 as the Ministry of Communications and Technology which also incorporated digital transformation and other technological matters. The ministry ceased to exist on 3 March 2020.

The ministry was re-established on 12 May 2022 as the Ministry of E-communications and Interconnectedness responsible for handling the nation's online communications and digital transformation, maintenance of communications with global citizens, etc. However, a month later, the ministry was reconstituted as the Ministry of Communications and Media with the merger of the media department with the ministry. The ministry ceased to exist on 12 November 2022 and was merged with the Ministry of Information and Public Relations to form the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

The Ministry of Communications and Media had the following departments prior to its merger to form the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Ministers

The Minister of Communications and Technology was the head of the Ministry of Communications and Technology, who was either a cabinet rank minister or a minister of state with independent charge. They were responsible for the formulation of various activities, tasks, laws under the ministry's jurisdiction. Cabinet ministers of communications and technology were often assisted by a junior minister, or a Minister of State for Communications and Technology.

Following the re-establishment of the ministry in 2022, the ministry was initially headed by the Minister of E-communications and Interconnectedness and later by the Minister of Communications and Media.
