The Ministry of Education was the Florenian government ministry with the responsibility of enforcing the education policy of Florenia, which mandated that all citizens receive a high school diploma or its equivalent. The Ministry was overseen by the Minister of Education, who was appointed by the Monarch on advice of the Prime Minister. The only Minister of Education was Lady Deborah, Baroness of Plymouth, who was named to the Cabinet by incumbent Prime Minister The Prince Nathan upon the creation of the ministry on 2 January 2012 and served until its abolition on 13 January 2022. A former teacher of over 30 years, the Minister was appointed because of her experience, dedication, and relationship with the Prime Minister, and was subsequently appointed the inaugural Lord President of the Council of State in recognition of her service]].
The longstanding policy of Florenia regarding education was to enforce the completion high school education or the equivalent level of all of its citizens. Since Florenia was unable to provide this education themselves, all citizens were required to obtain their education at foreign institutions. The ministry had very few actual duties, and all citizens abided by the education policy.
