The Monarchy of Crainmore is the institution of the Prince of Crainmore, the absolute ruler in the principality. The Prince is not the sovereign of Crainmore, as the King of Dungailliamh, the nation Crainmore is a part of, is sovereign of Crainmore. The current Prince is Thomas I, with the heir to the throne being His Grace Sir Ludwig Collins.

History

The office of Prince was established upon the return of New Roscam (now Crainmore) to the State of Mensenberg on the 25th of March 2022. Originally Thomas Jacobs proposed New Roscam to have a republican government, as it had been in the first County of New Roscam from 23 February to 17 March 2022. Jacobs would propose the Principality of New Roscam, with himself as Prince.

In July 2022, New Roscam would rename itself to Crainmore.

In October 2022, Jacobs was removed from the Trasona server by former prime minister Sean Dunkerque, in response Jacobs seceded Crainmore from Trasona, and annexed it to Dungailliamh.

Power and duties of the Prince

The Prince is the absolute ruler of Crainmore, and as suck is exempt from all Crainmorian law. He is responsible for granting realm-specific honours, titles, and appointments of government officials. He appoints the First Minister of Crainmore, who in turn forms the civilian branch of the government. The Prince is responsible to the Privy Council of Dungailliamh and the Monarch of Dungailliamh.

Heir

The position of Heir, also known as Crown Heir and the Crown Duke, has existed since the days of Crainmore in Trasona, when Ludwig Collins was the designated heir to Prince Thomas. The system of heir was kept after Crainmore integrated into Dungailliamh.
