The monarchy of Eminia is at the core of Eminia's aristocratic structure. It is the popular and constitutional monarchy under a semi-parliamentary system, where the monarch is both Head of State and Co-Head of Government. The sovereign is the personification of the Eminian state and is King of the Eminians as a matter of constitutional law. The current Eminian monarch is King Louis Phillipe, who has reigned since 13 December 2020. Louis Phillipe's younger brother, Prince Guilherme, Duke of Vizée, is the heir apparent.
The monarch and his or her immediate family undertake various official, ceremonial, diplomatic and representational duties. As the monarchy is constitutional, the monarch retains executive political functions such appointing the Chancellor, sanctioning or vetoing over laws, dismissing the parliament, naming legislative representants and bestowing honors and titles. The monarch is commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces. The ultimate formal executive authority over the government of the Eminia is still by and through the monarch's royal prerogative.
Constitutional role
The King is both head of state and head of government of the nation and his position is hereditary. He appoints the Chancellor, who in turn appoints the Ministers of State, who assist in government. Legislative power is exercised through the parliament, the national bicameral legislature composed by the Chamber of Peers as upper house and the Chamber of Deputies as the lower house; the Parliament also holds judiciary authority.

Arms and symbols
Titles
All members of the House of Almeyda-Martins are entitled as Princes of Eminia with the treatment of Royal Highness, except for other titles that can be granted. All consorts inherit their companion's titles and treatments, no matter religion or marital situation (if the consort was previously married, for example), Individual and life-long titles may be granted to members of the family. Noble titles can be either individual or hereditary and can also be granted upon a family.
Properties
The Eminian Royal Family possesses and lives in a series of palaces and houses across the country.
Line of succession to the Eminian throne
The Eminian monarchy works through absolute primogeniture and holds absolutelly no requiriments in marriages. All relatives to the King are included in the line of succession to the throne and may remain this way unless the King chose otherwise; he is the only person to hold power over matters concerning the crown and is not subjugated to any parliamentary approvement to do so.
