The Monarchy of Juniperia, (Juniperian: a'Mônarquésé) is the royal organ of the Commonwealth of Juniperia. It was established in January of 2023 due to a referendum that resulted in the transition from a Republic into a Monarchy. It is currently held and operated by Athena II, Queen of Juniperia.

Functionality

The monarchy is described in the constitution as the chief executive head of state, in that capacity the monarch acts as the chief religious, heraldic and cultural officer. It is comparable in theory to the monarchy of the United Kingdom.

The Monarch bears the arms of the state, similar to many monarchies, and by extension, their banner of arms is that of the nation. Athena II, current monarch has three banners, one as a Franco-Spanish dynast, two as the queen of Juniperia and three as sovereign. This is a rare case and is not emulated by Westavian monarchs nor does it plan to be emulated by future monarchs.
