Mydalefc was started on March 2, 2013 as part of a project to establish a new Woking based football club called Dale Football Club. The club will be assisted by its newly formed fan base both economically through funding after a target has been decided and also through voting which will help decided, home ground, which will be ground shared with another Woking based football club, in its early years until a permanent is found or created for Dale Football Club. The club also hopes to have funds always available for its fans, charities and the Woking community which will be allocated by the Dale Football Club fans themselves. Dale Football Club and Mydalefc was openly inspired by micronational football and the Dale national football team.

Mydalefc focuses its fan gathering to micronationalist and Woking borough residents. Mydalefc has set its target funds to be raised through different outlets as between £10,000 to £20,000 by mid 2014 to early 2015 and have the team participating in the English football league system for the 2015/16 season, the intended league the club will attempt to join is the Combined Counties Football League or alternative league in the same tier.

In April 15, 2014 the Mydalefc project made a refocus in plans in order to help promote the project to a wider supporter base. This idea of this was to support and promote the creation of the Surrey Independent Football Association (SIFA) from the Dale Football Association and inspired by the Manx Independent Football Association (MIFA) which had recently created a Isle of Man national football team separate from the team organised by the Isle of Man Football Association and due to participate in the ConIFA World Football Cup later in 2014. However, focus was pushed back towards Mydalefc and instead keep the two as sister projects with the mutual benefits the two teams could offer one another, particularly in terms of players, experience and facilities which could be shared between the two without the need to share money between the two projects.

With a return of focus back towards Mydalefc new logos being created for both the club and parent company and being introduced on May 18, 2014.
