Constitution
Constitution of Silofais

The National Assembly is the bicameral legislature of the Republic of Silofais, composed of the Chamber of Delegates and the Senate. Per Article XXIX of the Constitution, the Senate currently lies in abeyance until there are thirty citizens of Silofais.

The National Assembly came into force following the ratification of the Constitution on June 3rd, 2017, and is the only government body capable of passing primary legislation. Much like the system in the United States of America, the President of Silofais has a veto power over all such legislation, which in turn can be overridden with a two-thirds vote in both Houses.

The National Assembly completed its first-ever session on August 27, 2017, and will commence its second session on September 9.

Composition

The nation is currently divided among three national electoral districts: South Kansas City (SKC), Western Plains (WSP), and Eurwest (EUW).[1]

Each district has been apportioned three Delegates through the term serving between 2017 and 2020, for a total of nine Delegates.

Elections

The next election of the National Assembly will take place constitutionally on the second Saturday of July in 2020, or July 11, 2017.
