The Naverian language is a Sasolnian conlang which is presently being created and spoken in Naveria. The early language was heavily inspired by English and Spanish. However, Naverian integrated with the many languages originating in Jutar during the expansion of the Atlanta Regional Union, leading to a shift in influence during its construction.

Orthography

Naverian is written using a Latin-Sasolnian alphabet, using letters which are ultimately derived from the root languages thereof. The alphabet contains twenty nine total letters. One of the letters is one-form, represented by the symbol ´ regardless of case. The other twenty eight letters in the alphabet are two-form, with variants for uppercase and lowercase.

The letters Ðð, Qq and ´ are derived from other Sasolnian family languages. Ðð represents the st sound in "state". Qq represents the qu sound in "quail". ´ represents a sound akin to the Latin letters Ææ and Œœ under most circumstances, but can also represent the au sound in "Aussie". The letters Ҁҁ, Ŋŋ and Þþ are utilized in Naverian uniquely. Ҁҁ represents the ch sound in "chip". Ŋŋ represents the ng sound in "tang". Þþ represents the th sound in "thorn". All other letters are derived from English and are pronounced as such.

Influences

When construction of the language started, Naverian was ultimately a hybrid of English and Spanish. Phoklandian was somewhat important to the language's initial development as well, due to its state as an English hybrid language and status as an official language in Phokland and occupied Navārdia. During the last days of Phoklandian Navārdia, much of the Phoklandian-inspired vocabulary was scrapped and replaced with Catalan, likely a reflection of the two regions' movements for independence.

The influences of English, Spanish, Phoklandian and Catalan can all be observed in modern Naverian. Unlike its earlier form, however, Naverian is not a singular language. As relations increased with the local nation of Jutar, Naverian adopted grammar and vocabulary with the Sasolnian family of languages which was constructed in the area. Because of this, it has become a Sasolnian language which takes particular inspiration from Jutarian and Kiri. In addition to these direct influences, the Dzol language has been adopted in the Naverian division of Rhyrodesia.
