New Albion, officially the Kingdom of New Albion, was a micronation claiming to be a sovereign state located in North America. It was an enclave of the United States. It was the official successor state to the Kingdom of Vryland.

New Albion was a parliamentary semi-constitutional monarchy. The nation was reigned by King William I, who reigned for the nation's entire existence.

The name was taken from the name Albion, an alternative name for the island of Great Britain. The nation shares its name with an area north of Mexico claimed by Sir Francis Drake for England in 1579.

The Kingdom of New Albion was founded on the 11 of June 2019 by King William I. It was established as the formal successor state to the former micronation of Vryland. It was dissolved on 5 July 2019.

Government and politics

New Albion operated under the system of a parliamentary semi-constitutional monarchy, based off that of Liechtenstein. It had a form of mixed constitution in which political power was shared by the monarch and a democratically elected parliament. There was a multi-party system and a form of representative democracy in which the prime minister and head of government was responsible to parliament.
