A referendum on political status was held in the Republic of New Dale on 3–4 May 2013. The Dale people were asked whether or not the population of New Dale wanted to form a then unspecified political union with an unspecified micronation or remain an independent micronation. The result was a disappointing 1 vote for yes, with no other votes made. The President of new Dale declared that the result only highlighted the need for a political union to be created.[1] Following the result a political union was agreed with the Republic of Westland which later resulted in the creation of the Delsh-Westlandian Federal Republic.[2]

Background

Collapse of the Dale Republic

The collapse in the democratic ability of the Dale Republic and its instability and sudden drop in interest following the disputed presidency of Daniel Townend and the lack of trust in the Woking People's Nationalist Party led to the eventual collapse of the Dale Republic following a period of inactivity and a failed attempt to bring back activity resulted in its disestablishment 1 year after it it took power from the Dale Transitional Council on October 26, 2012.
