The Principality of New Eiffel is a full member of the Grand Unified Micronational, and has been since the Quorum of Delegates convened and voted on 21 May 2019.[1] New Eiffel was previously accepted as a provisional member on 28 April.[2] The delegate for New Eiffel Zabëlle Skye served as the Secretariat for Micronational Development between 11 January—4 June 2020,[3] and also served as Ad-Interim Press Secretary between 1 February until 30 March while Emperor Adam I focused on finishing his degree, and was at that time unable to actively write news articles.

Delegation

New Eiffel has the maximum amount of delegates for a full member, Leon Montan, Max Baez and Zabëlle Skye, though he is on break. Janus was originally made a delegate to the GUM on 18 July 2019, and optionally stepped down on 10 September. Janus was re-delegated on 2 January 2020. Anthony Dickson was made a delegate on 1 August 2019, replacing the previous delegate Emily Gréz who had left micronationalism. Both Janus and Dickson were replaced by Leon Montan and Max Baez in October 2020.

Positions

On 11 January 2020, Zabëlle was voted in as the Secretariat for Micronational Development. Smith served as acting as Ad-Interim Press Secretary for the Grand Unified Micronational while Emperor Adam I focused on finishing his degree. Smith wrote nine articles on the minutes between 1 February until 30 March. Smith co-founded the Help Joining the GUM project in July 2019, which was officially "integrated" by the GUM proper on 2 February, a measure which in effect consists of recognition and endorsement from the parent organisation, and renamed the Grand Unified Micronational Development Initiative. On 28 March, Zabëlle was voted as a Lobby Moderator for the GUM Discord server.[4]

Quorum attendance

New Eiffel has been in attendance of nearly every Quorum, however has arrived late a number of times. Zabëlle Skye represented New Eiffel in every Quorum since before 4 October 2020.

On 31 January 2020, the government purged seven inactive and uncontactable citizens, a motion which had been proposed since early January, in order to stay within the convention.[37] In August 2020, the government of New Eiffel made the decision to stop counting gross domestic product (GDP) all together per the Edgbaston Convention, and the Council of New Leeds instead began requesting businesses to report only their total assets or budgets where precise financial reports were unavailable.

Sister Cities Program

New Leeds and the capital of New Eiffel, Új Repülő were entered into the Sister Cities Program.[38] New Leeds has three sister cities: New Aberdare, Aenopia, Danko House, Essexia and Presque, Misberia. It greatly benefited New Eiffel's foreign relations with the nations.[39] Új Repülő has two sister cities: Wrythe, Austenasia and Granada Nicosi, Millania.
