New Wiltshire was a colony of the United Kingdom of New Wessex between September 2012 and July 2013. Established on 12 September 2012, it was governed by its founder Mark Williams, who held the position of Viceroy and ruled in the name of the King.
New Wiltshire was formerly part of a public park in the U.S. state of Missouri before being annexed by New Wessex. On 17 November 2012, New Wiltshire nearly doubled in size, expanding to incorporate the shore of a nearby lake. On 12 July 2013, Williams unilaterally declared the independence of New Wiltshire from New Wessex, ceding it to his native micronation of New Israel a few days later.
