Nim Chesworth is a Brogenian politician and currently serves as the President of the Independent Republic of Brogenia. He is also the CEO of the Nim Chesworth Company (a productions company) and the CEO of BBS.

Micronational career

Nim Chesworth began his micronational career on February 2, 2012 with the creation of Brogenia (at the time, named Newria). He established a basic government, flag, and national anthem, but the Crisis of June forced Newria to fall into inactivity. Nim Chesworth brought Brogenia (Newria) out of inactivity and then established a more stable government, flag, military, diplomatic relations, and a website. The government then switched to a Parliamentary Democracy, with Nim Chesworth as the Prime Minister, then switched back to a Unitary Constitutional Democracy, with Nim Chesworth currently as the President of Brogenia.

Politics

Nim Chesworth is a National Greenist, advocating for pro-green energy sources along with many centrist views micronationally.

In terms of US political parties, he identifies himself as a Republican and a follower of Reaganomics, believing in lower taxes,minimal government regulation in economy, and less government spending. He believes that if there are lower taxes, then businesses can flourish and the consumer has a bigger fiscal choice. He also believes in a smaller government and more power to the states.

Presidency

The first Brogenian election was held on October 9, 2012. Nim Chesworth was the only candidate in the race, and he became the first Brogenian President. The first act that he approved was the Public Library Subsidation Act (October 19, 2012). Within the first 20 days, he also passed the Brayson Merging Act (October 19, 2012), and the Cyber Security Act (October 24, 2012).

Business

Out of the 5 businesses in Brogenia, 2 of them are owned by Chesworth. He is the CEO of the Nim Chesworth Company (a productions company), and the CEO of BBS (Brogenian Broadcasting System) which is a media conglomerate which provides news of weather and politics to national and intermicronational news, and consists of BBS (a youtube channel), Classical BBS Radio (bringing Brogenians classical music), and Brogenia Today (and online newspaper).

Public Image

Chesworth was not a known member of the micronational community until the Early Brogenian Era (late 2011) when he actively began participating in organizations. He first became known throughout the community through the OAM (Organization of Active Micronations), then began participating in Microwiki, and eventually Microwiki Forums. Chesworth may not be one of the largely known micronationalists, but he is not unknown either.
