The Ocean States Territorial War was a territorial conflict between the State of Faltree and the government of Reunited Ocean States over the legal sovereignty of Ocean States following a dispute between both nations.
History
Conflict began over a bet that was won by Hunt Powell wherein the entirety of Ocean States would be ceded to Faltree if the outcome of an American football game ended a certain way. Jaime P. III then backed out of the deal, which prompted Faltree to claim the entirety of Ocean States as sovereign Faltrian territory. On 28 September, the government of Reunited Ocean States claimed that its mainland went into a state of "inactivity" and moved the capital to "active" territory, this action was met with critique. Faltree set up the Commission of Ocean States the same day, intended as a occupying entity for the region. On the 4th of October the Commission of Ocean States was dissolved and Faltrian claims to Ocean States were relinquished following Senate support of the idea.
International response
Ausveria - On 27 September, Chancellor Fredrick M. released a statement saying, "On the topic of the developing situation in Rhode Island due to the fact that both Faltree and the Reunited Ocean States are our allies we will not be officially supporting one side or the other however any act acts of aggression on the part of Faltree are to be condemned and I ask Herr Powell to choose wisely and listen to his Senate."
Ameristan - On 27 September, the Grand Kingdom of Ameristan declared its neutrality in the conflict.
Delphia - On 27 September President Javier Martinez released a statement saying, "Federal States of Delphia does not Recognize Faltree claiming ROS seeing how No Formal document was Signed therefore the Federal States will continue to Recognize ROS as a Legitimate government unless a Formal document has been signed or Faltree can Enforce its Claims".
United Republics of Michigan - On 27 September, President Evan Callies released a statement declaring diplomatic support for the State of Faltree.
Tueoedeth - On 28 September, Tueoedeth announced diplomatic support for Faltree.
