The Order of Friendship is a state order in the Islamic Emirate of Athor. It is the highest award of the Emirate for foreign citizens.
Awarded For
The Order of Friendship of Peoples is awarded to citizens:
- for a significant contribution to the strengthening of peace, friendly relations and cooperation between states, the consolidation of society and the unity of peoples;
- for especially notable activities for the convergence and mutual enrichment of national cultures;
- for high achievements in international public, charitable and humanitarian activities;
- for a great personal contribution to the development and multiplication of the spiritual and intellectual potential of the Islamic Emirate of Athor, active work to protect human rights and his social interests;
- for special services in the development of foreign economic activity, national service to allied nations or continued foreign service to Athor.
Eligibility
The order is presented to both Athori and foreign nationals - typically those in senior positions in allied nations.
History
The order was established on 30 December 2022 and was the third order to be established. It was inspired by the Order of the Friendship of Peoples in the Belarusian honours system.
