The Most Excellent Order of the Amphisbaena Potato or simply the Order of the Amphisbaena Potato, was a New Eiffelic order of chivalry, rewarding contributions to comedy, outstanding micronational fun, and "taking comedy seriously to the point where it may not be seen as comedy." It was established on 15 June 2019 by Prince Zabëlle I and comprised three classes across both fun and comedic achievements, the most senior one of which made the recipient either a knight if male or dame if female. There was also the related Order of the French Potato, whose recipients were affiliated with, but not members of, the order.

Recommendations for appointments to the Order of the Amphisbaenia Potato were originally made on the nomination of New Eiffel, and the respected territories. Nominations continued from all micronational nominations, that participate in recommending New Eiffelic honours.

The reason for the existence of the Order of the Amphisbaenia Potato, was, "to honour micronational comedy, for being what it is, not serious". Zabëlle created the award specifically to honour such comedic differences, while still acknowledging how largely non-serious they were.

The three classes of appointment to the Order were, in descending order of precedence:

High member of the Most Excellent Order of the Amphisbaena Potato (HMAP or HAP)
Member of the Most Excellent Order of the Amphisbaena Potato (MAP)

History

It was established on 15 June 2019 by Zabëlle I. Zabëlle stated it's "Great to laugh every now and then". On the day of it's foundation, three people were awarded, each of which had one of the three different classes.

Precedence and privileges

Some may find the award offensive, by claiming the recipient was not serious, whilst others who admit to being largely comedic might be glad to receive such an award.

It was a very privileged award to receive in New Eiffel.
