The order was created by the current Rashtradhyaksh Varuna Sriraya on 12 August 2020 in order to recognize of services rendered by women to the community and Vishwamitra. The order was named as the "Order of the First Ladies" at the time of creation and was renamed to its current name of the "Order of the Precious Crown" on 3 October 2021.
