The Most Auspicious Order of the Sanghamitra (Hindi: संघमित्र मानपदवी, IAST: Sanghamitr Manapadvi) was a chivalric order of the State of Vishwamitra which was the third highest royal decoration of the State of Vishwamitra and the highest award that was solely bestowed upon foreign heads of state. It was established on 18 October 2020 by the Rashtradhyaksh Dhrubajyoti Roy to recognise contributions made by the foreign heads of state towards the nation and for their acts of friendship and services to the nation. As an exception, the order was also conferred upon the Chairman of the Conference of Rulers and the senior-most Rajpramukh after them. In the table of precedence, it ranked below the Grand Cross with Collar of the Order of the Lotus but above Grand Cross of the Order of the Lotus.
The Order of the Sanghamitra was exclusively conferred upon heads of state of friendly nation, who had rendered exceptional services of the highest level.
The order was formally disestablished through Royal Decree number 247-2022 issued on 25 October 2022 and was replaced by the Supreme Order of the Hibiscus. The final induction to the order was made on 29 September 2022 during the Autumn Honours 2022 when Caesar Paul I of Macalos was inducted as a knight of the order.
Criteria and privileges
The Order of the Sanghamitra was conferred in a single grade - Knight (for males) and Dame (for females).
