Palasia is a Town of the Empire of Austenasia which consists of a house near the British town of Thetford.
On 14 December 2010, John Gordon declared what would become Palasia independent from the United Kingdom as a micronation known as Preissland. This changed its name to Herculeum and then to Firdanor before being renamed again to Palasia in July 2012.
John Gordon opened negotiations on 1 July 2013 with Emperor Jonathan I on the prospect of joining Austenasia. After discussions on the form of administrative division Palasia would be, it was annexed as a Town by an Imperial Decree on 12 July 2013, with Lord John Gordon appointed its Acting Representative. On 8 October 2013, Parliament passed the Merryweather Security Act 2013, giving employees of Merryweather Security (a Palasian company) permission to defend Palasia and to engage in law enforcement duties in coordination with the Austenasian Police.
On 3 December 2014, Lord John arranged for the home of his grandparents to be annexed as the first Austenasian March with the name of Caldari. As a March of Palasia, Caldari is represented by Lord John in Parliament but is governed by its residents independently of Palasia Town Council.
On 10 November 2020, Palasia became home to the Empire's second national monument with the designation as such of Palasia Pet Cemetery.
Palasia is currently represented by Lord John Gordon in Parliament as its Representative.
