The Parliament of Vyomania is the name of the main Governing body in Vyomania. It is a bicameral legislature composed of Vyomanian monarch and the two parts: the Rajya Sabha and the House of People. Both houses of Parliament meet online on Discord.

Composition

Rajya Sabha

The Rajya Sabha or Council of States is the upper house of the bicameral Parliament of India. It is a permanent body not subject to dissolution. Each member is elected for a term of six years. Its members are elected by members of legislative bodies of the regions and the Maharaja. The council is led by the Vizier of Vyomania.

The House of People

The House of People is the lower branch of the Vyomanian Parliament made up of the Representatives of Provinces or Regions, of Vyomania. A representative in The House of People can submit bills to be voted on by the Representatives. If the bill is voted on by a majority, it is passed, and is sent to the Monarch for consent. If the Monarch approves the bill, it becomes law. The House of People is led by The Speaker of the House of People who organizes the House and can call meetings at any time. Representatives in the House of People can serve as many terms as many times as they get elected. Representatives who are found to be corrupt can be fired by the Vizier and/or the Maharaja/Maharani and may appoint temporary Representatives that will serve until the next election.

Committees

A Committee is a group of people chosen and approved by the Vizier of Vyomania, that work together to plan out, and organize certain subjects and events, a Committee can last until it is dissolved by the Vizier.
