The Petorio Presidential elections of 2010 were the scheduled second federal executive elections in the Republic of Petorio, to have taken place on October 13, 2010. Incumbent president Kalvin Koolidge announced his candidacy for reelection on July 2, becoming the first candidate to do so. Over a month later on August 17, 2010 Sebastian Russo announced his candidacy for president. Supreme Justice Peter Bauman followed on September 12, 2010. Election season official began that same day in the republic. So far there is a 3 way race in Petorio, however more candidates may follow.
According to a September 2010 poll conducted by the federal government, in a hypothetical 3-way matchup between the declared candidates, Koolidge (65%) would have defeated Russo (30%) and Bauman (5%).
As a result of Petorio's second government shutdown in the latter part of 2010, the presidential elections were cancelled. It is presumed that President Koolidge remained Petorio's de facto head of state during this time period.
