Pisica Democrescu (Romanian pronunciation: [ˌpiˈsi.ka demoˈkres.ku]; born January 2000) is the first and current Vice President and former Prime Minister of Juclandia, also serving as president of the Democratic Party from 2005 to 2013. Her tenure as Prime Minister was one of the shortest in Juclandian history and when she was elected in 2011, she became the first female President of Juclandia (however, the President is not the head of state). Since the foundation of the Kingdom of Juclandia in August 2010, she continuously served for three terms in the Presidency of Juclandia, along with Gori Jucărescu. As leader of the Democratic Party, she was one of the most prominent political figures in Juclandia and her predecessor states. As one of the original citizens that took part in the foundation of the country in September 2001, she is also regarded as an important historical figure.
Political career
A politologist by profession, Democrescu was one of the main contributors to original Juclandia's (Country of Toys) political organisation, having been chosen as Prime Minister of Juclandia for the first time in August 2002, less than a year after the country was founded. Having reached a lot of disagreements within the single-party state, ruled by the Communist Christian-Democratic Party, Pisica formed the first opposition movement in the history of the country, the Democratic Party, since its foundation having been considered a right-wing party. After the death of Elena Iliescu and the political crisis that appeared thereafter, the Communist Christian Democratic Party was divided and weakened. Along with a dissident group from the PCCD formed months earlier by Bestia Reformescu, Democrescu managed to gain power in Juclandia and was sworn in as Prime Minister for a second time in December 2005. However, due to government failure to manage the situation, she was forced to resign by the People's Consultative Assembly in April 2006.
In August 2010, Pisica was placed second in the presidential elections, having lost to Gori Jucărescu. An year later, Pisica has managed to defeat the then-incumbent Gori and she became the second President of (State Council of) Juclandia. In the 2012 presidential elections, Pisica has lost once again to Gori Jucărescu, returning in the position of Vice President, after an year which saw two Prime Ministers and a great political reform in Juclandia.
