Pogland, also officially known as Pogland, is a micronation which lays claim to Bir Tawil and Mary Byrd Land. It was officially founded in August of 2021 after the 2021 Trimlandian Coup d'état, the nation has been quite isolated from the wider micronational community. With the help of the Most Serene Republic of Richensland, the nation expanded its activities and became slighty more open to other micronations.
Etymology
'Pogland' was named after Pepe, a famous meme. 'Pog' is a word related to Pepe and thus, the name of the nation roughly named 'Land of Pepe'.
Land claims
Sovereignty over Bir Tawil and Mary Byrd Land were handed over to Pogland by the Most Serene Republic of Richensland in August 2021 as a sign of friendship, graditude and solidarity.
