Porthbokon was a Town of the Empire of Austenasia, consisting of a house and garden on the Cornish peninsula. It was dissolved in June 2017 after its Representative lost contact with the imperial government.
History
The land which would become Porthbokon was declared to be the Republic of Bokonton on 28 October 2007, ruled by a Queen who would later be known as Evren Filgert. Bokonton slipped into inactivity, becoming effectively defunct by mid-2012. Filgert remained in contact with the MicroWiki community, however, and on 2 June 2014 begun negotiations with Emperor Jonathan I of Austenasia for the core territory of the former Bokonton to be annexed by the Empire.
The land in question was officially claimed as the new Austenasian Town of Porthbokon by an Act of Parliament on 5 June. Lady Evren Filgert, Duchess of Dumnonia was appointed Acting Representative of the Town, and elected Representative in October later that year.
In late 2015, Filgert dropped contact with the imperial government. Several attempts to re-establish contact with her were made over 2016, and after an intensification of efforts to do so failed in early 2017, Porthbokon was dissolved on 14 June 2017, with its population - Filgert included - losing their Austenasian citizenship.
Administration
Porthbokon was represented by Lady Evren Filgert in Parliament as its Representative.
