The President of Capia is the executive head of state and highest political office of the People's Republic of Capia. It is also the oldest office of state, being established on 9 February 2023.
History
The office of president was established on 9 February 2023 and is the oldest office in the people's republic. It was almost decided that the president would be head of state and government but then the office of prime minister was established as head of government.
Powers
The president weilds significant powers and influence but are mandated to have the following powers:
- Appoint the Prime Minister of Capia and Other Cabinet Ministers
- Accept the Resignation of the Prime Minister
- Receive and Credit Diplomats
- Assume Supreme Command of the Armed Forces and their General Organisation
- Declare States of Emergency
- Sign Bills into Law or Veto Them
- Enact Presidential Decrees
