The Prime Minister of Caspusia is the head of government in the Caspusian Republic and serves at the pleasure of the President.
History
The role of prime minister is one of the oldest offices in the republic. It was established on 10 July 2022.
Responsibilities
The prime minister has some specific responsibility the president asks the officeholder to carry out.
The responsibilities include:
- Chairing Chamber Meetings
- Chairing some Cabinet Meetings on behalf of the President
- Represent the Republic Abroad and to with Other Micronations
- Propose and Debate Bills
- Help Set Foreign Policy
- Nominate Cabinet Ministers
- Engage in Foreign Affairs
Appointment
The prime minister is appointed by the president. The prime minister is almost always a member of the chamber of deputies, but on rare occasions may be a senator.
As the nation is under a totalitarian dictatorship the prime minister is typically the most senior member of the president's party in the chamber of deputies.
