The Prime Minister of Portucale is the Head of Government in Portucale and Head of the Cabinet of Portucale and may select its ministers. The Prime Minister may also advise the Monarch on how to exercise their powers.

The Prime Minister is the individual that is typically the leader of the political party or coalition of parties that holds the largest number of seats in the Assembly of State.

The duties of the Prime Minister include managing parliament and keeping the Monarch up to date as well as overseeing the day to day running of the nation. The PM also coordinates the actions of some other ministers.

Appointment

The Prime Minister is appointed by the monarch. The monarch may also dismiss the Prime Minister. However the Prime Minister is typically the leader of the largest party in the Assembly of State after a general election, or the individual who commands the most confidence in the Assembly.
