Prince Sarun (Thai:พลเอกสมเด็จองค์ชายพระยาอนุโยเหล้า) is a member of the imperial family of Huai Siao and is a cousin of Emperor Pao. He served in the Royal Huai Siao Army since 1 September 2018 and was appointed as the Commander of the Royal Huai Siao Army on 6 January 2020. He played an important role in the development of the nation's military. Apart from serving as the Commander of the Army, he has been serving as the Minister of Defense under Prime Minister Prince Eun Jo since 5 January 2021.

Personal life

Prince Sarun was born on 10 March 2007 in Thailand. He is a cousin of Emperor Pao and Prime Minister Prince Eun Jo. He keeps keen interest in military and enjoys playing football and other fun activities with his friends. He also enjoys playing archery and hunting birds.

Political and military career

Prince Sarun joined the Royal Huai Siao Army on 1 September 2018 and was soon appointed as a Major in the army. He continued to serve as military advisor to the Emperor and the government of Huai Siao. He was appointed as the Minister of Defense by Prime Minister Prince Eun Jo on 6 April 2019 succeeding incumbent, Phraya Huo and he continued to serve in that position until being replaced by the Prime Minister himself on 31 December 2019. Soon after his removal as Minister of Defense, he assumed the role of the Commander of the Army on 6 January 2020 and has been serving in the capacity since then.

He was re-appointed as the Minister of Defense by the Prime Minister on 5 January 2021.
