Her Majesty Anoushkaa Patranabish, formerly known as Princess Anoushkaa, the Princess Debarajakumari (born 27 January 2010) is a senior Vishwamitran royal and former politician who is the Rajpramukh of Basistha since the restoration of the monarchy on 18 March 2022. She had also served as the Prime Minister on two different occasions, first in March 2020 and then between June 2020 and January 2021. Prior to the nation's transition to a monarchy, she also served as the President for two non-consecutive tenures. She is also the longest-serving Vice-President of the nation with a tenure of more than four years.

Early and personal life

Princess Anoushkaa was born on 27 January 2010 as the second child and daughter of Their Royal Highnesses Princess Lipi, the Princess Mother of Beltola and Prince Father Patranabish. She is the younger sister of Tanishkaa Patranabish, the current Deputy Rashtradhyaksh and Rajpramukh of Beltola, and is also a first cousin of Rashtradhyaksh Dhrubajyoti Roy, Princess Sarala, Princess Asmi, and Prince Abhirup. She is currently pursuing her secondary school education from a reputed educational institution in her home city. She keeps interest to art, music, and dance.

Micronational career

Princess Anoushkaa is considered to have received her citizenship in Vishwamitra at the time of her birth. Her first introduction to micronationalism was at the age of 2 when she was appointed as the Vice-President of the nation on 22 June 2012 under the presidency of her older cousin Dhrubajyoti Roy. She continued to serve as the Vice-President alongside other important ministerial portfolios such as the Minister of Social Welfare. Her tenure as Vice-President ended on 2 October 2015 and she was replaced by Bishnu Chetry.

By the time that she turned 5, she got actively interested in the affairs of the state and was nominated to serve as the first Minister of Home Affairs under the premiership of Sarala Baishya on 6 December 2015. Following the re-election of Dhrubajyoti Roy as the nation's Prime Minister on 11 April 2016 under the banner of the Friends Society Secular Party, she was named as the Deputy Prime Minister, a position which was not in use since 2010. She was also appointed as the Minister in the Ministry of Sanitation and Cleanliness Campaign.

In October 2016, she was named as the official candidate of the ruling-Friends Society Secular Party for the presidential election to be held in order to replace sitting President Tanishkaa Patranabish who had declined the offer for a re-election in order to become active in the politics. Princess Anoushkaa was successful in defeating Sarala Baishya, who was the opposition-backed candidate and assumed the presidency on 2 October 2016. However, her tenure as the President became the shortest of all when a vote of no-confidence was voted by Prime Minister Dhrubajyoti Roy leading to her removal from the position of the President on 13 December 2016. She is also the first and till date the only head of state to have been removed by a vote of no-confidence. She was succeeded by her former rival Sarala Baishya as the Acting President, being the only eligible individual to temporarily succeed her as President. Following her departure as President, she was appointed as the Governor of Beltola with the additional charge of the Administrator of Central Guwahati by the Acting President. She tendered her resignation from her gubernatorial assignments on 30 December 2016 after being appointed as the Minister of States, Regional Affairs, and Cabinet Affairs in the Council of Ministers of Prime Minister Dhrubajyoti Roy. She also became the Minister of All Party Affairs on 17 February 2017.

Prime Minister Dhrubajyoti Roy resigned on 12 April 2017 to become the nation's President and was succeeded by Sarala Baishya as the Prime Minister. Moments prior to taking oath as the Prime Minister, Sarala Baishya forged the existing coalition between her party, the Friends Society Independent Party and the Friends Society Secular Party, which had suffered severe defections in the recent months and formed a coalition with the Friends Society Freedom Party. Anoushkaa, who now belonged to the opposition, was appointed as the Governor of Beltola for the second time on 12 April 2017 by newly appointed President Dhrubajyoti Roy. Her tenure as the Governor of Beltola came to an end with her transfer and subsequent appointed as the Governor of Purvanchal on 7 May 2017. She relinquished her duties on 5 July 2017.

Anoushkaa was appointed as the Minister of Culture, Information and Broadcasting under Prime Minister Tanishkaa Patranabish on 5 July 2017, however within days of her appointment as a Minister, she was nominated to the position of the Vice-President of the nation following the sudden resignation of Bishnu Chetry on 22 July 2017. She assumed the office of the Vice-President on 23 July 2017 and continued serve until 25 December 2017 when she was elected as the President.

Princess Anoushkaa was elected as the President following the sudden resignation of sitting President Dhrubajyoti Roy who took over as the Prime Minister. She continued to serve as the nation's President until the constitutional coup d'état which took place on 13 May 2018 when she was replaced as the head of state after Prime Minister Dhrubajyoti Roy assumed absolute powers. Despite being removed as the head of state, she was nominated as the Deputy Supreme Leader.

Presidency and later career

On 25 December 2017, following the resignation of Dhrubajyoti Roy as President, she was elected as the President and continued to be President until 13 May 2018. Following Dhrubajyoti Roy becoming the Supreme Leader, she was appointed as the Heir and Deputy Supreme Leader and remained in office until the Supreme Court declared the mandate unconstitutional and hence, she was elected to be the Acting Head of State for 15 minutes on 11 September 2018 and then joined the Vice-Presidency under the President Dhrubajyoti Roy and remained in office until 29 September 2019, when she indicated to step down.

She had also filled in the duties as the Acting President from 29 January to 31 January 2019, when then-President Dhrubajyoti Roy was on a three-day educational leave.

Union Council of Ministers and Caretaker Prime Minister

Soon after stepping down as the Vice President, she joined the Union Council of Ministers and was appointed as the Deputy Prime Minister with the responsibilities of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Finance, etc. On 4 March 2020, she was appointed as the Caretaker Prime Minister to oversee fair elections in the State and remained in office until 19 March 2020, when Tanishkaa Patranabish was elected as the Prime Minister and she joined the Cabinet again as the Deputy Prime Minister with the responsibilities of the Cabinet Minister of Home Affairs.

Deputy President and subsequent premiership

On 3 May 2020, she was elected by the Council of State to be the Deputy President, a position established under the new executive Presidency and served under Tanishkaa Patranabish. But this system was short-lived, and an absolute monarchy was established and she was appointed as the Prime Minister. She has been the Prime Minister of the State of Vishwamitra since 8 June 2020, she is also the Cabinet Minister for Finance.
