Biography

Early life

Princess Elaine was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on 1987, as the third daughter of Armando van der Bruyn, then Hereditary Baron of Roches to his first wife, Ms. Wanda da Costa, both aged 26 when she was born. Through her father, she is a member of the House of Bruyn, a Dutch-Portuguese family whose ancestry goes back to the nobility of Scotland and the Holy Roman Empire. She also works part-time campaigning a candidate for the Senate of Brazil for the State of Rio de Janeiro.
