The Principality of Doriea (Greek: Πριγκιπάτο της Δωριέας) is a micronation founded on 18/06/2016 by His Highness, the Prince Konstantinos I.
History
Doriea was created on 18 June 2016, when the three major houses in the region merged under the leadership of Prince Konstantinos. The Principality has roots from the ancient kingdoms of Macedonia and Thrace.
On 16 March 2023 Imvrassia put under protectorate status the Principality of Doriea after a long time of inactivity and the Hellenistic League's permision.
Politics
The political history of Principality of Doriea begins with it creation and the signing of a treaty of friendship and mutual recognition between the Principality and the Fellow Greek Kingdom of Imvrassia.
In in the beginning of 2018 the size of the country grew by 2500m² after the death of an independent merchant and relative of Prince Konstantinos.
Foreign Affairs
Responsible for the foreign relations of Doriea, is the Prince. Doriea has adopted the respect of the cultural and political differences between the micronations. Doriea recognizes the independence and sovereignty of each state, which signs a treaty of friendship and mutual recognition. Economy
The economy of Doriea is mostly agricultural. On 25/06/2016 a big and costly project began for the improvement of soil, machinery and facilities. At the same time of this project, the area of the Principality increased from 500m² to 650m² with the purchase of the extra land. The constructions ended on 31/08/2016 with big success.
In 2018 and with the new land the economy of Doriea grew and a new massive agriculture project began on 21/07/2018. To complete this work, the Principality used 20 workers and 3 machines.
Religion
Many discussions began after the conversion of Prince Konstantinos in the late of 2016 to the old Hellenic Religion one month later tensions began to spark after the constraction of temple 5 km outside of the country.
Days later the Prince with a public speech talk to the population that the two religions can and will coexist and reassure that no one is above the other and that we are first Dorieans.
